Summary. Two trial-trenches and two test-pits were excavated by the Colchester Archaeological Trust at the Holy Cross Catholic Primary Academy in Harlow. The work was undertaken in advance of the construction of a new classroom block and two small extensions to the existing building. Twelve sherds of medieval/post-medieval pottery were recovered during the evaluation. These probably derive from the Harlow pottery industry. No structural remains or deposits associated with pottery manufacture were identified within the development area.
