Summary. The Village Hall is located immediately to the east of St Mary's Church in the historic centre of Peldon in Essex. Prior to the demolition of the hall and the building of a replacement, an evaluation by one trench uncovered the brick footings of the former National School (built 1800s, demolished 1960s). There were no finds, or features of archaeological significance.
