Summary. An archaeological evaluation by trial-trenching was carried out in advance of the construction of eight new dwellings at 215-227 St Mary’s Lane, Upminster. Despite being identified as a site with high potential for late post-medieval remains, only modern contexts were identified. The oldest elements were brick walls and concrete floors associated with early 20th century terrace housing fronting onto St Mary’s Lane.
