Summary. Archaeological monitoring and recording were carried out at Lower House, 103 Chitts Hill, Colchester, Essex in advance of the construction of a side extension, garage and new highway access. Despite being located close to the site of a Bronze Age cemetery, the line of Gryme's Dyke North and several cropmarks, no archaeological remains were encountered during groundworks.
