Summary. An archaeological evaluation by trial-trenching (two trenches) was undertaken on land west of Gubbions Hall Farm, Banters Lane, Great Leighs, Essex in advance of the construction of a detached dwelling and garage. The site is located nearby to Gubbions Hall, a 17th-century Grade II listed house situated a within a Medieval moated enclosure. The evaluation uncovered a modern wall.
