Summary. An archaeological evaluation (one trial-trench) was carried out on land to the north of Rectory House, Waldingfield Road, Acton, Suffolk prior to the application for the construction of a single detached dwelling. Despite being located close to the projected route of a Roman road and in an area highlighted as being as of archaeological interest, there were no significant archaeological remains.
