Summary. Archaeological monitoring was carried out at Courtlands, Upper Street, Stratford St Mary in advance of the construction of a single-storey rear extension and a two-storey 'infill' extension. The groundworks exposed a 19th-century brick soakaway and wall foundation associated with the property. Residual sherds of medieval and post-medieval pottery also evidenced occupation or activity at this site during these earlier periods.
