Summary. An archaeological strip, map and excavate was carried out on land off London Road, Great Horkesley, Essex in advance of groundworks for the installation of a new electricity sub-station and Flogas tanks. Despite being located close to cropmarks and sites of medieval and post-medieval importance, there were no significant archaeological remains within the two small excavation areas (42 square metres and 0.88 square metres).
