Summary. An archaeological evaluation (two trial-trenches) was carried out at Barn Hall Bungalow, Barnhall Road, Tolleshunt Knights, Essex in advance of the construction of a new detached dwelling. The site is located in Barn Hall, a historic farmstead that was first recorded in the Domesday book. Despite the site's historic origin, nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered
