Summary. Archaeological monitoring was carried out on land at The Slip, St Osyth Priory Park, St Osyth, Essex during groundworks forming part of the construction of new dwellings for residential and holiday accommodation. St Osyth Priory is a medieval priory founded in the 12th century, and the development site is located within the Priory Park. Groundworks at The Slip revealed a ditch, modern pit and tree-throws.
