Summary. An archaeological strip, map and record was carried out during construction of a tennis court at 'Hazelwood', Bromley Lane, Wellpond Green, Ware, Hertfordshire. During the strip, which was undertaken to a set formation level, no archaeological features were uncovered and only modern layers were impacted. These layers contained debris deriving from the demolition of the previous building on the site and the recent construction of 'Hazelwood'. Nothing of archaeological interest was uncovered.
