Summary. Archaeological monitoring was carried out at 61 & 63 New London Road, Chelmsford, Essex during groundworks for the construction of a single-storey rear extension. The site is located in an area of a known medieval Dominican Priory and at the rear of a Grade II listed building. The only potentially significant horizon encountered was a possible post-medieval demolition layer.
